Zig zig through the streets of Yamba and you’ll see an array of Federation-style weatherboard beach shacks and fibro cottages, many painted in vibrant colours yet maintaining their original style and charm. While some have been upgraded for accommodation, many of Yamba’s long-term locals lovingly call them home.
