That’s exactly what happened when Cass Deller—watercolour virtuoso and all-around creative powerhouse—became Oceanstays’ artist-in-residence at the beautiful Bimbajong Pines in Yamba.

Oceanstays is proud to host the immensely talented Otis Carey as part of our Artist in Residency program. A Gumbaynggirr-Bundjalung man renowned for pushing boundaries in both high-performance surfing and contemporary Indigenous art, Otis brings a unique fusion of movement, storytelling and cultural depth. But this residency is about more than just creativity; it’s a celebration of culture, community and a touch of coastal magic.
