Yamba’s revamped Skate Park

The Yamba Skate Park upgrade, which added an extra 1000 square metres to the original site, caters for the ever-growing popularity of skateboarding and roller sports in the coastal town of Yamba.

The reinvigorated Yamba Skate Park is a great place to take the kids (big and small). Grab a coffee on the way and walk down to the corner of Coldstream and River streets. There’s plenty of shade and vantage points to watch the action.

Originally opened in 2006, it was given an impressive upgrade in 2020 after the Yamba Skate Working Crew — made up of council representatives, community members and skaters — was formed to reinvigorate the space and help create a design for the growing community. Since then, it has quickly made its mark on the national skate park map.

Yamba Skate Park has such a diverse range of new obstacles, ramps, stairs, rails, flats, and lots of fun, creativity-inspired skateable elements, but also boasts a super advanced and fast three-metre deep clover-style bowl to rival any skate park on the east coast of Australia.
