Red Bin
Put in:
plastic bags and wrappers
disposable nappies
ceramics/Pyrex
Broken glass
Leave out:
hazardous waste (batteries, gas bottles, chemicals)
recyclables
garden or food scraps

Yellow Bin
Put in:
steel and aluminium cans and clean foil
glass jars and bottles (lids off), no sheet glass
plastic bottles and containers (rinsed, no lids)
clean, dry paper and cardboard packaging
newspapers, magazines, junk mail and window envelopes
milk and juice cardboard cartons
Leave out:
garden waste and food scraps
soft plastics, plastic bags and cling wrap
ceramics/Pyrex
syringes

Green Bin
Put in:
Fruit and veg scraps
Meat and bones
Seafood and shells
Bread, rice, cereal, cake
Eggs
Loose tea leaves and coffee grinds
Garden clippings
Council approved compostable kitchen caddy liners that comply with AS 4736-2006 and paper used to wrap food scraps.
Leave out:
Fibre-based products (bamboo, cardboard, paper etc)
Paper towels, tissues, serviettes, napkins
Compostable or biodegradable products (excluding AS 4736-2006 kitchen caddy liners)
Vacuum cleaner dust
Washing machine and dryer lint
Pet poo and poo bags
Tea and coffee bags
Treated wood and timber
