Things to do on your Easter long weekend in Yamba.

Easter is a marvellous time to be holidaying in Yamba or Angourie. So many of our guests choose this time of year for their annual holiday. The weather is mild, the water is warm and there’s always a festive joy in the air.

Here are a few ideas for how you might like to spend your long weekend:

FRIDAY: Get into the Easter spirit with a feast of locally caught seafood. A great place to buy it is from the Yamba Fisherman’s Cooperative at 19 Yamba Rd or Yamba’s Fisho at corner of Yamba & Coldstream St.

There are picnic tables next to Turner's and Pippi Beaches and in the park above Main Beach. The view under the lighthouse is quite exceptional and can be a lovely spot to drop a blanket too.

SATURDAY: Do yourself a favour and plan to do the Yuraygir Coastal Walk at some time during your stay. The views are breathtaking and it’s likely you’ll come across some local wildlife.

Don’t leave town without checking out at least one, but ideally some of our world class restaurants. Check out our restaurant guide for inspiration. You’ll need to book ahead.

SUNDAY: Check out the Street Food Festival at the Golf Course. Many of our boutiques in town choose to host big sales over Easter long weekend. If you’re a shopper, you’re in for a win. Check out our shopping guide.

MONDAY: Discover the lighthouse and read about its history, then walk down the path to Turner’s beach and out to the end of the break wall. Look out for turtles and dolphins.

Whatever you do, we hope you have a fantastic time with your loved ones this Easter holiday!
