Whale watching season begins in Yamba

Yamba’s whale watching season officially starts today — the first day of winter — and operates until October 30, 2023.

Named for the small hump on their dorsal fin, humpback whales are known for their complex breaching behaviours that make them popular with whale watchers.

Don’t miss your chance to see their acrobatic displays on their northern migration from Antarctic waters by contacting local tour operators like Yamba Whale Watching.
