Explore Yamba on a bike

Michael from Bike Shop Yamba has great tips when it comes to exploring Yamba on a bike. Image courtesy Destination NSW.

One of the best ways to explore Yamba is on a bicycle thanks to its mostly flat terrain — with the notable exception of its eastern edge — and scenic spots.

Yamba’s bike tracks essentially run from one end of town to the other. The ride along Ford Park and Yamba Bay is great, but also try the road down to Angourie (with wide bike path) and check out the iconic Angourie Point surf break.

Bike Shop Yamba (02) 6645 8879) is a locally owned and operated business that hires bikes with comfy saddles and accessories. You can hire one to explore Yamba and surrounding areas for a few hours, days or weeks. Use the dedicated Ford Park Cycleway beside the beautiful Clarence River and ride along to Whiting and Turners Beach. Tourists and locals also love taking their bikes on the ferry to Iluka for a day trip.

The wonderful people at Yamba Bike Shop created this special “Google My Maps”, which includes a few suggestions about where to lock up and wander, as well as a simple loop of the breakwall, Angourie, and Ocean Shores Tavern.
