Grafton launches First Nations Story Trail

Here’s your opportunity to learn about the indigenous history of the Clarence Valley through the lens of the Bundjalung and Gumbaynggirr families.

Tomorrow’s official launch of the Grafton First Nations Story Trail will consist of audio recordings from Aunties Jo Randall, Geraldine Lewis, Maxine Hegedus and Gloria Strachan reminiscing about growing up as young Aboriginal women in Grafton through stories and poetry.

When: 10am Tuesday, 06 June 2023

Where: Flame Trees Cafe, 77 Prince Street, Grafton

Stickers with QR codes have been placed in prominent locations along Prince Street to direct people to listen to the recordings on Council's My Clarence Valley website.

The Grafton First Nations Story Trail is a component of CVC's Rediscover Grafton project to revitalise Prince Street, which is fully funded by NSW Government’s Streets as Shared Spaces program.
